The much talked about(usually in a negative light, unfortunately) Lana Del Rey, recently covered Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box" at the Enmore Theater (Sydney, Australia). While it has been rumored that Lana dates the washed up nut case that is Axl Rose, covering a song by an old nemesis of his, might suggest things are not going too well, if at all...or that Lana Del Rey may now be banned from all Guns N Roses concerts.
If you remember, Nirvana, specifically Kurt Cobain exchanged some words with Axl backstage at the MTV music awards in 1993. The feud continued then raged on in interviews and live banter. Well, now picture Axl's said to be girlfriend covering a Nirvana song in concert? I can almost imagine how his head probably exploded and botox and corn rows were left scattered everywhere. We are talking about a guy who banned anyone wearing a "Slash" t-shirt from attending his concerts, and even threw one out himself. This relationship cannot still be going on.
Now, I think she did a fine job, as much as people like to hate her. It was light years beyond the Miley Cyrus cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Check it out below and decide for yourself.
